Jennifer Carl is the director of business development for commercial sales within the Drug Development division. She is primarily responsible for the planning and implementation of sales, marketing and product development programs, both short- and long-range, targeted toward existing and new markets. Carl establishes sales objectives through forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services, and develops and mentors a national sales team to execute sales action plans and expand the commercial customer base for Drug Development.
Carl came to Southern Research from Toxikon Corporation, where she was a business development manager promoting product development and regulatory submission services to medical device companies throughout the mid-Atlantic region. She has over 16 years of sales and business development experience in the biotech and scientific research industries, including multiple new product launches, new territory development, and regional sales training and mentoring for companies such as Schering Plough, Verus Pharmaceuticals and AG Mednet. She attributes her responsiveness, attention to detail, ability to create long-term partnerships with clients, and mentoring and leadership skills as her keys to success.
Carl earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Southern Maine.
