Alabama Pre-boarding Toolkit
The pre-boarding toolkit provides information about on-site Orientation on your first day of employment and links to paperwork you will need to complete prior to on-site orientation.
- Research Agreement - Only Review- must be completed on Day 1 with HR representative
- Emergency Contacts
- Tell Us About Yourself
- New Hire State Reporting Form
- I-9 Form - Only Review the I-9 form. Do not complete it prior to orientation.
For all new hires, Southern Research is required by federal immigration law to verify both your identity and your eligibility to work in the US. The link to the Form I-9 includes instructions and a list of acceptable documents that can be used to verify your status in these areas. When you come to Orientation on your first day of employment, you must bring your original documents. Photocopies DO NOT meet the requirements. The I-9 form must be witnessed by a member of our staff; therefore, please do not complete in advance.
As a federal government contractor, we are required to gather, maintain, and report on certain staff demographics. We therefore invite each employee to complete the following forms. You are not required to disclose the information requested if you choose not to do so, so each form provides an area for you to decline. We do request that you complete the form for our records, even if you choose not to disclose. There are no negative consequences for not disclosing.
The Southern Research policies listed here require your signed acknowledgement. Once you have read and understood the policies, print and sign the Acknowledgement Form and bring it with you to your scheduled on-site Orientation.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mary Jo Funderburg at 205-581-2273.
