Clinical Pathology Services
Clinical Pathology at Southern Research offers the standard hematology and clinical chemistry evaluations, as well as urine and coagulation analyses that may be required in support of toxicology programs. The Clinical Pathology laboratory at Southern Research is GLP-compliant and uses qualified analyzers including the Advia® 120, Cobas® 6000 c501 module, and the ACL Elite® Pro to analyze hematology, clinical chemistry, and coagulation specimens, respectively. Furthermore, Southern Research has completed species-specific qualifications for common clinical pathology analytes in select animal species. The qualification process examines precision and determines species suitability for each analyte measured. Other services that are available include evaluations of blood and bone marrow smears.
