The Center for Neuromolecular Research (CNR) is a collaborative locus of diversified scientific experts, devoted to discovering central nervous system (CNS) therapies to prevent, treat or cure neurological diseases and mental health disorders. The Center’s multidisciplinary research and development efforts include neuromolecular discovery and neurobiological studies, carried out across the Institute, and with external academic collaborators and industrial partners. Of particular emphasis are projects that afford novel small molecule and biologic agents that are: a) reagents and probes that afford deeper insights into CNS mechanisms, disease pathologies and therapeutic modes of actions; b) CNS therapeutic agents specifically targeted to select diseases; and c) biomarker and diagnostic agents to quantify CNS disease pathologies and changes induced by therapeutic interventions.
